Hanna Naima McCloskey is an energising speaker, advocate for women, social entrepreneur and the youngest of our speakers, bringing with this a fresh and unique perspective for unlocking potential.
Hanna has a diverse background: from studying English at Cambridge; working for the UN in Jerusalem; achieveing an MA in International Relations, researching in Sudan, to becoming an investment banker and now an active social entrepreneur. Her passion to transform the future for young women has seen her go back to the beginning, with Fearless Futures, an in-school personal development programme for secondary school girls.
Hanna’s commitment to the social, political and economic advancement of women began with investment banking: looking around her she noticed an absence and was convinced that the other 50% had an important contribution to make to business. Hanna’s passion, perpetual creativity, and propensity to challenge saw her focus with intensity on this goal (outside of her day job), influencing senior leaders, developing graduate attraction programmes, informing the women’s network’s strategy and scope as well as being the youngest member on its global board, working on developing mentoring programmes as well as mentoring younger women within the business herself. In 2013, Hanna was named the Deloitte Chartered Banker Institute’s Young Banker of the Year for her innovation with respect to re-imagining the path to gender diversity in the work place.
People say that Hanna is ‘unapologetically joyous’ and ‘a creative problem solver and at the same time a warm and compassionate human being’. Hanna’s thoughtful and practical perspectives on how to make gender diversity a reality and how to attract the best, irrespective of background, is motivating and uplifting and sure to spur you to act.Contact us to find out more See all speakers
